STEP 3: iWeb

Creating YOUR web page....
Using iWeb in your Applications folder... Create a NEW SITE:
Use one of the following templates:
  • Modern
  • White
  • Modern Frame

Ways you can create multimedia for this project:
  • Make a powerpoint or keynote with images, share as quicktime
  • Use iMovie to create a "movie" with your images or video clips. Use the music clips from iMovie / Garageband or the UMC4F wiki for places to find music that will contribute to your project under Fair Use.
Website Rubric
  • The file below provides an outline of the page requirements for the website.

STEP 4: Publish

Check your SITE NAME and PAGE NAMES....

NAME YOUR SITE

Your sites should be renamed as we did in class with your assigned research group (A_ for aquatic T_ for terrestrial)
EXAMPLE sitename.png
This is the ONLY WAY they will be linked correctly to the main zoo or aquarium pages.

NAME YOUR PAGES

If you have multiple pages, your should be sure to give them names that make sense based on the content of the page

Adding Links

Terrestrial

Paste the link from the wikispace to the main zoo page
AT THE END make all of your links active

Here is how you can link to another student's page: Note you will have to use the discussion board to get some of this information
It is REALLY important to check your SITE NAME...if your site name is spelled incorrectly, you will not create the right folder for exporting & linking your site. Use the link below and replace the "PHYLUM-CLASS-NAME" with the phylum or class name that you want to link to

STEP 5: Turn it In

When you are finished with your website, you need to publish it to a folder
File> Publish to folder
Choose desktop
When you are done exporting you will see a folder that is the same name as your site and an index file....The only thing you need to turn in is your folder.
Double click on the courses ? to open the courses folder.
If you can not get the courses folder to open you may need to log off and log back on your machine.
Drag the folder ONLY into Mr. Kushner's submitted work. Everything your page needs is in that folder
